How can we help?
The process of identifying a learning disability and making sure the child has the correct supports in place to thrive at school is a daunting one. It is normal for parents, and even teachers, to find the process overwhelming and confusing.
SOS Education
is revolutionising the way families and schools investigate potential barriers to learning, and how learners with learning disabilities are supported throughout their educational journey. We build long-term relationships with our clients to ensure that the advice and support we give is consistent over time and individualised to each child, by starting with the assessment process. At SOS Education, we streamline the process and make it less intimidating for all involved.
We start by
meeting with families in a relaxed setting to discuss the child and get any background information that may be pertinent to unlocking the child’s full potential. Depending on the age of the child, this is followed up with some simple scholastic assessments. This allows the SOS Education team to then draft a plan of action for families as to what further investigation needs to take place.
Furthermore, we don’t just work with the family and the child, we work with the school and the child’s teachers to guide them on how best to meet the child’s learning needs. We also co-ordinate all other therapies that may be required to ensure that where a remediation programme is needed, it is effective and efficient.
We don’t just assess and then leave you to figure it out! SOS Education will walk alongside you throughout your child’s education journey to make sure they are receiving an education that caters for their individual needs.
